Trainee M&E Asset Surveyor
(Full time preferred however Part Time / Flexible option available)
Description
We are looking for a Trainee Mechanical & Electrical Asset Surveyor to support our existing team to carry out asset data captures, asset condition and lifecycle planning on commercial property infrastructure across the North West.
Summary of Role:
- To conduct asset validation and condition surveys of Mechanical & Electrical assets, predominantly electrical systems and domestic scale mechanical systems.
- To populate and update existing survey reports with new information and to capture new assets.
- Capture defects and non-conformance of mainly electrical assets.
- Prepare reports to Maintenance Helpdesk where urgent remedial action is required.
- Site based role conducting surveys predominantly across Stations, Maintenance Depots and Rail Property.
- Report writing, verification and presentation can be completed from home.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Needed:
- Knowledge of compliant Electrical systems, single and three phase.
- Visual defect awareness of domestic heating systems typically electric water heating systems.
- Awareness of legislative requirements in respect of building services installations.
- Organised, methodical and logical and able to work on own initiative and manage own time.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of client management Attention to detail, quality driven approach.
- Safety awareness in respect of facilities management and site safety.
- Advantageous – Experience with AutoCad to update and produce layout plans.
Training Opportunities:
- Work towards IAM Certificate or Diploma (Training available to achieve these qualifications)
- Personal Trackside Safety (PTS) rail training
- Autocad / Trimble
Location: North West / WFH
Start date: Immediately
Duration: Permanent / Full Time

21 days holidays plus bank holidays.
40 hours per week (Working hours flexible based on availability to get on site).
