Role Overview & Responsibilities

Home to more than 1,500 students and 50 full or part time academics, the Department of Finance Accounting and Business Systems is a progressive and innovative department that has at its core, the creation of a high-quality student and staff experience, involving significant employer and professional body collaboration. Sheffield Business School is the UK’s most recent Business School to be awarded AACSB accreditation putting the UK’s largest Business School amongst the top 5% of providers globally.
We are looking to expand our team with an inspirational lecturer who have a passion for delivering high quality learning experiences along with substantial accounting experience gained through teaching or relevant industry experience or both. We would expect you to have strong technical skills, an understanding of developments within the accountancy sector with a solid understanding of financial and management accounting.
You’ll combine well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to financial and/or management accounting, with a passion for inspiring, motivating and challenging students to achieve their potential. The ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences is essential, as is the ability to contribute to the subject group's research agenda.
