General Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

A leading specialist in work tent manufacture and design who has a strong reputation in the industry are now looking for a General Operative to join their team.
You need be able to work in a busy fast paced environment where no two days are the same.
Your main role would be picking, packing, assembly of work tent covers and frames and other general textile products. As a general operative you will support in the manufacture of tent frames and cut parts whilst referencing drawings, templates or work instructions.
This role comes with on the job training and support to allow you to develop further skills.

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:45-17:00, Friday 7:45 - 15:15

What we are looking for:

- Good DIY skills & abilities would be greatly beneficial
- Previous industrial machine experience preferred but not essential.
- Good attention to detail
- Good time keeping and attendance
- Being able to work under own initiative
- FLT Licence (desirable)
- Understanding of imperial & metric measurements
- Ability to manoeuvre heavy PVC and fabrics
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Hands on manufacturing skills
