For nearly 60 years, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has worked with its members, partners and supporters in pursuit of its vision of healthy, resilient ecosystems across Scotland’s land and seas. The Trust successfully champions the cause of wildlife through policy and campaigning work, demonstrates best practice through practical conservation and innovative partnerships, and inspires people to take positive action through its education and engagement activities. It also manages a network of around 120 wildlife reserves across Scotland and is a member of the UK-wide Wildlife Trusts movement.


The Role:

Due to an internal promotion, a fantastic opportunity for an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive has arisen. The postholder will provide high-level administrative and general support to the Chief Executive, Chair and Council (Board of Trustees), as well as liaising with a wide variety of other stakeholders inside and outside the organisation. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent organisational skills and bring a strong eye for detail.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Diary management, including coordinating internal and external meetings, events and travel
  • Acting as first point of contact; dealing with correspondence and phone calls and being a representative of the CEO in their absence
  • Liaising with Senior Management Team, Management Team, Line Managers and other relevant colleagues as required
  • Administrative duties such as processing expense claims and maintaining and managing digital filling systems
  • Co-ordinating and providing secretarial support for Council meetings including agendas, action updates, attendance, meeting papers and minute taking
  • Providing administrative support to the Trust’s Chair and Committees

If you are comfortable working in a complex organisation with multiple teams, sites and projects, and have the appropriate skills, we would love to hear from you. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and general awareness of the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s work and a commitment to nature conservation. The ideal candidate will have experience in tasks such as co-ordinating and taking minutes for formal committees, as well as extensive experience using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
