Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse (Ophthalmology Day Case Unit – PCEU Windsor)PLEASE NOTE: This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonard's Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a High Cost Area (HCA) supplement of 5% of gross basic salary.
The Adult Eye Day Case Unit comprises of 14 day chairs, 3 recovery beds and 2 eye operating theatres.
We are open Monday to Friday 07:30-18:00.

Following a restructure of Eye Surgical Services, exciting opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic, highly motivated and ambitious staff to join our dynamic unit and who strive to deliver a positive patient experience.
This post would ideally suit a nurse who recognises opportunities for improvements and is a motivator to drive changes forward within the unit.
Duties include: Eye Day Case Unit coordination duties, supporting junior staff, mentoring students and supporting the Band 7 Lead.
The post holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient–focused programmes of care, acts as a role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient -focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of the client group in his/ her clinical area.
The post holder ensures the smooth running of the ward / department in the absence of the Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse, and provides clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
