Volunteer Role: Social Media/ Communications Manager for RNLI Epsom

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We at the RNLI in Epsom are an inland fundraising branch with ambition! We fundraise locally to support our volunteer crews on the River Thames and at sea as well as promoting water safety and education messaging in and around Epsom and Ewell. We're a very friendly team who generally meet once a month in the Epsom Club to plan events and collections.

We are currently in need of someone to take on some promotional work for us, initially building and maintaining a social media profile for the RNLI in Epsom to promote the group and upcoming events, as well as recruit and help to grow the team.

Ideally you'll be a confident user of social media platforms with a good grasp of what works to promote. We have guidelines for use of social media and can provide support and guidance on an ongoing basis.

If you're looking to evidence your abilities to build your CV, this would be a great way to do so as you'll be starting entirely from scratch and we welcome creativity and flair!

Whilst much of the work can be carried out remotely and entirely flexibly to suit you, we would love it if you could join us for our meetings regularly and occasionally support at an event, as much so that you really feel part of our team as anything.
