Teaching Assistant - Early Years

Role Overview & Responsibilities

RGS Prep is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the School in September 2023. This is a full time, permanent position working 8am to 4pm.

Your role will be to help create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment so that pupils feel cared for and achieve their true potential.

Supporting the Class Teacher, your duties will include:

• following the plan written by the Class Teacher;
• keeping appropriate and efficient records;
• supporting initiatives decided by the Head, Heads of Department and staff;
• being aware of the needs of all pupils in the class;
• attending regular training in order to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current support.

In return, you will receive:

• Circa £20,000 per annum;

RGS Prep has a responsibility for and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.  The person appointed to this post will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the DBS.
