Multi Skilled Engineer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Ravensby Glass is one of the UKs leading manufacturer and processor of insulated glass units based in the East end of Dundee. We are seeking a confident individual to join our small engineering team. Is that you?

Some key duties will include:

· Site Engineering Maintenance – Ensuring continuous and safe Operation of all factory and plant equipment.

· Resolve machine breakdowns to ensure maximum line efficiency of the production process

· Continuous Improvements – Evaluate, develop, and improve existing practices to strengthen asset performance.

· To assist in maintaining the Engineering stock by identifying parts and raising parts Requisition forms for repairs and stock replenishment.

· Maintain Electronic plant maintenance records and all associated Engineering documentation as required.

Skills

· Educated to HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.

· Experience within manufacturing industry.

· Diagnostic fault finding experience with good working Knowledge of mechanical/electrical maintenance.

· Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.

· A team player with strong sense of personal responsibility and a positive “can do” attitude

· Have the ability to work effectively under pressure alone.

Experience

· Ideally you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-moving industry.

· Have the ability to use electrical test equipment, read schematic diagrams with experience in single and 3 phase installations including motors, inverters and PLC’s

Hours of work to be discussed but essentially Monday to Friday/Monday to Thursday.

Competitive hourly rate with shift allowance in place for nightshift if worked.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dundee: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Electrical Engineering: 1 year (preferred)
