Glass Processor-Nightshift

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Ravensby Glass are seeking applications from individuals who take pride in their work and are keen to learn new skills working within our small manufacturing teams. Previous experience working in a manufacturing/production environment would be beneficial, however we welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds.

This is a permanent nightshift post with hours of work being 4 x 12 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am (46 hours). There is a 20% shift allowance paid. Previous nightshift experience would be preferable.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Using different machinery and production line equipment
• Reading and understanding diagrams
• Measuring accurately
• Manual handling of glass, therefore a degree of fitness is required
• Ensure high quality standards are maintained
• Performing other tasks as assigned
• Following health and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor
• Ability to take instruction
• Working as part of a team

We offer full time permanent contracts and the opportunity for further training and development is available for those that wish to progress and demonstrate that they are capable of doing so.

Wages are paid weekly, one week in arrears and we offer 29 days annual leave per year, 4 weeks during the year and 9 days for our annual closure in December (these will be pro rated for some shift patterns and in line with starting date).

PPE will be provided and a uniform supplied on completion of a successful probationary period.
