Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant and Support Worker to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Health Care Assistant and Support Worker, you will provide essential support to our clients to help them live independently and comfortably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility and transferring of clients
  • Administer medication and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Support clients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform routine health checks and monitor vital signs
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
  • Follow infection control and health and safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, clients, and their families
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar role in a health or social care setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and other regulatory requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel to different client locations within the local area
  • A compassionate and caring attitude towards clients

Education and Certification:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant certifications in first aid, infection control, and other healthcare-related courses
