Telecoms Civils Engineer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an expereinced telecoms utility worker or gang (2/3 men) in the South Wales area to work on the Netomnia/Openreach Contracts.

Working between three yards in Llantrisant, Merthyr Tydfil and Neath. Van, tools and excavator are provided. All work is South Wales.

Types of work can include clearing blockages, box builds and track work.

First month day rate, then price work (rate card will be sent to interested candidates)

Expereince is required. You must have your tickets and street works cards. Some knowledge on how to use programs on computers such as deponet will help.

The ideal candidate will have experience in this role and be able to work independently and efficiently. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and has a strong work ethic with an important regard for safety.

Responsibilities:

• Follow safety protocols when working with heavy machinery and tools.
• Operate a variety of equipment breakers, wakers, excavators, diskcutters
• Be able to read job packs and assess potential risks
• Inspect, repair and install duct
• Fill out risk assessments on a site to site basis
• Plan ahead to minimise delays
• Backfill all excavations to reinstatement level

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £100.00-£180.00 per day
