Role Overview & Responsibilities

GROUP OPERATIONS MANAGER

Providence Hospitality is a modern, rapidly growing management company currently managing 12 Hotels across the UK with our Head Office being situated in Bath.

As a Group Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the overall operations of the various hotels that we manage by overseeing operational activities.

About your responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and oversee the various hotel’s operations by maintaining consistent communication with the General Managers.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way, ensuring that guest experiences are maintained.
  • Perform financial forecasts / objectives by preparing the annual budgets, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Anticipate and track operational risks and provide strategic solutions.
  • Analyse and improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Ensure hotels processes remain legally compliant.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
  • Achieve personal and team related goal setting KPI’s.
  • Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs.
  • Actively find ways to increase quality of guest & team service alike.
  • Actively promote company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Collaborate with the General Managers and Directors to determine the short and long-term goals.
  • Remain up to date regarding industry regulations and trends.

Essential skills required to do this role:

  • Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Highly focused, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation.
  • Drive to achieve results.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field desired, however years of experience would be taken into consideration.
  • Three or more years of proven success as Operations Manager or similar role
  • Experience with budgets, wage cost control and efficiency & P&L's and forecasting is required.
