Rigger Supervisor

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for Rigger Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 18:30, 1-hour lunch break. Saturday, 8 - 14.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble lifting gear in accordance with rigging plans.
• Attach loads to crane hooks by use of lifting equipment including spreader beams, lifting beams, and chain hoists, ensuring load balance, security and integrity.
• Bank the crane by use of recognised signals to safely direct the load to different types of locations.
• Manual handling activities.
• To work as part of the Jacking/Skidding team.
• Assist with the maintenance of the equipment.
• Supervise rigging operations.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager to create and manage emergency rescue plans.
• Provide advice, recommendations and information on safety issues about climbing equipment and working at height.
• Ensure the rigging team and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of rigging equipment, and apply safe work methods.
• Supervise personnel during the load-in and load-out of rigging equipment.

Requirements:

• CSCS.
• Previous experience in similar roles.
• EICTB level 3 + ACE Card (moving Enginering load) or ACE card (steel erector card)
