Role Overview & Responsibilities
About the Role
- Wound care.
- Venepuncture.
- Administering of medicines and vaccines if trained to do so (training for this will be made available if so desired).
- Health checks such as new patient checks or pre-diabetes information gathering.
- Re-stocking and stock rotation of surgical equipment and vaccines.
- Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms.
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor surgery.
- Providing valuable health promotion and education for service users, their families and carers.
About the Candidate
- be a dynamic, confident, self-motivated individual able to work autonomously and as part of the clinical team.
- have excellent communication skills.
- be able to work safely and effectively to guidelines.
About Us
We are a dispensing practice operating out of a purpose built surgery covering the North of Colchester and the surrounding villages. We continue to grow annually with new developments and currently have a list size of over 16,000. We regularly achieve excellent QoF achievement and patient feedback. We are also rated as Good across all domains by our latest CQC inspection. We are a SystmOne practice.
