Escape Game Host

Job Title: Escape Game Host

Basis: Permanent

Salary: Minimum Wage

Location: Whitley Bay

Hours: Fixed hours on Saturdays with possible over time on other days (minimum 8 hours per week).

About Us

Pirate Escape is the North East premier live escape room game. Our primary focus is offering exciting and immersive live escape room games where players have 60 minutes to solve challenges and puzzles in our pirate themed worlds to find the treasure and escape.

We are a family owned company and are now looking for an extra member of the team.

About the job

This isn’t your regular job, as an Escape Game host you will be doing all of the following:

Hosting sessions by greeting teams, taking payments, some public speaking

Monitoring the CCTV of the teams whilst they are in the room - giving clues when necessary and making sure things are going smoothly.

Resetting the room when they leave, making sure that everything is put back in the right place and locks set to the right codes.

Cleaning/DIY ensuring the rooms are clean and well maintained at all times.

Creativity through inputting into the design of new puzzles for the rooms

Essential Requirements

As we are a small team and this is a very unique job, previous experience isn't vital however playing an escape room game before will certainly be an advantage. Being able to work independently, as some games may require you to open or lock up on your own.

• Has attention to detail and shows initiative
• Is a logical thinker, with the ability to follow complex instructions
• Is reliable and hard-working

The company is expanding and growing quickly, although the role has a minimum of 8 hours a week this will be fixed to Saturday with overtime available on other days depending on bookings.
