Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for aspiring butchers to join our Butchery Academy here at Westerleigh.

Successful applicants will have a starting salary of £10.50 per hour plus additional benefits. By completing this programme, you will become a qualified butcher who be able to use these skills within the company.

Each apprentice will have a bespoke training plan and as part of this, will complete a nationally recognised L2 Butchery apprenticeship with a training provider. All learning will take place in the workplace where the training provider and our experienced on-site team will look after your development and make sure that you are learning new skills.

After your apprenticeship you can progress your career through the ranks in Butchery, increasing your earning potential. We offer ongoing development opportunities for those individuals who are keen to progress and are ambitious. Many of our previous apprentices are now Team Leaders and Managers.
