Welder Fabricator Supervisor (Marine) - Felixstowe

Salary: Negotiable DOE
Hours: (40Hrs Per Week), Mon - Fri, 07:30AM - 4:00PM
Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Our client is a very successful design and manufacturer company near Felixstowe looking for an experienced working Welder / Fabricator Supervisor. As a business our client supports the welding, fabrication, and pipework requirements of their core customer base across marine and boatbuilding.

Purpose of Role To supervise and monitor the work of employees and sub-contractors. To support Management in maintaining and monitoring employee compliance with rules, regulations, health and safety, and company operational procedures. Key Duties of a Welder Fabricator Supervisor:

• Supervise and work with employees to ensure good quality and safety standards are met.
• Experience of working with modification of Container & cranes, crane repairs including major structural work requiring coded welding and all rail joint repairs.
• Using Plasma cutting, gas cutting, guillotines, radial drills, presses, welding equipment and hand tools.
• Communicate job expectations and performance requirements to welders
• Coordinate and enforce production, safety and quality systems, policies and procedures.

Key Skills of a Welder Fabricator Supervisor:

• Read and interpret blueprints and working drawings
• 3-5 years minimum Relevant Engineering experience (preferable to have new build experience)
• Understand equipment manuals and installation guides.
• Previously coded welder MIG / TIG in aluminum process Steel MIG/MMA coding’s
• Great Leadership skills
• Excellent Organisation skills
