Hours:
28 hours weekly – flexible with timings (as long as spread out evenly) Monday to Sunday 9am – 10am / 1pm – 2pm / 5pm – 6pm / 9pm - 10pmThursday 2pm – 4pm(2hr social call possibly being introduced taking hours to 30) Can be split flexibly between 2 PAs

Job description:
A team of Personal Assistants needed to support a 28-year-old woman with physical difficulties to live independently & access the community once a week.Support with all personal care needs (washing, dressing & toileting), household tasks, help preparing food and drinks, taking the bins out and occasional help with medication, prompting to use the toilet and take medication; all day-to-day tasks. I am usually able to transfer alone using my ceiling hoists however if I am feeling unwell or have injuries some help will be needed, for example at the moment I have an extremely bad back and would need more help getting the sling on etc. Additional hours may become available, so we are looking for people who are flexible. This post may also suit self employed workers.

About me:
I am a friendly, fun loving, personable and chatty person who would like to be supported by someone with similar qualities, who also understands my changing needs. There are times when I need a quiet, calm atmosphere and I appreciate those who recognise and respond to my good and bad days. I am not really a morning person as I do suffer with insomnia. I have two small dogs so it is important that those supporting me are dog friendly and are willing to help out with them with feeding them, letting them out and filling up their water bowls etc. It is really important to me that I build a good relationship with my personal assistant(s). At 28 years of age it is very hard for me to accept that I need carers as this is not how I thought I would be at 28 (no one plans to become disabled at 18 years old).

Experience or qualifications:
