I am mum to a 24 year old male with a learning disability and autism. He needs support to promote independence and social interaction.

Please note the employer has 3 pet dogs.

Summary of Duties

The client needs a fun companion to accompany him to the shops, to go ten pin bowling and to go on other social outings.

The PA will support the client outside of the family home and accompany him to engage in leisure activities. The client is happy to travel on the bus or to use other public transport.

The Person They Are Looking For

The employer is looking for a kind, caring and patient personal assistant who is understanding of adults with disabilities, and sensitive to their needs.

The PA should have a good sense of humour and be able to promote independence.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

The Times Required

Saturday or Sunday. Times are negotiable.
