Bending Machine Operator

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a bending machine operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

The role would suit someone that is high in energy, wants to work within a fast-paced environment, has a background in manufacturing and can demonstrate a professional confident can-do attitude.

You’ll be operating various machinery to efficiently produce steel products to specifications. The job will involve manual handling of steel and reading technical drawings.

Previous experience in the steel industry or vast experience as a machine operator in an heavy materials based industry is essential.

The Role - Press Brake Operator:

• Setting and operating a Press Brake machine
• Reading engineering drawings
• Bending metal
• Checking the products for defects
• Other duties as required

What we are looking for in a Press Brake Operator:

• Previous machine operating experience -ESSENTIAL
• Experience of reading from engineering drawings - ESSENTIAL
• Experience in setting machines.
• Good time keeping

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cinderford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
