Job Vacancy: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Our Client has an opportunity available for a Jr or trainee Quantity Surveyor to join the Company, based in Basildon, Essex (possible move into London full time planned but can be discussed)

We are looking for a trainee / Jr, M&E Quantity Surveyor. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the QS will work closely with the project management team, be responsible for the assisting in the provision of Mechanical and Electrical surveying services and provide support on all commercial aspects of construction projects including management of costs and contractual matters. Projects include both commercial fit out and residential.

Description of Key Duties:

1. Estimating and issuing KPI documents

2. Procurement of materials & subcontractors

3. Contract administration and cost control.

4. Work with clients on variations to the contract.

5. Allocate work to subcontractors.

6. Value completed work and arrange payments.

7. Cost reporting and final account preparation..

8. Work closely with Project Managers, attend meetings and undertake site visits.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

• surveying: 1 year (preferred)
