Video Editor & Content Creator

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Out There Media is looking for an enthusiastic Video Editor to work on projects based in both social media and long from linear editing.

You’ll be working with incredible content from the worlds of extreme sports, live events and documentaries to help us meet the needs of our global and local clientele. You must be a driven creative individual with strong storytelling capabilities.

The role will consist of:

• Using existing content to create social media friendly cutdowns, new edits and promotional assets.
• Re-formatting content to achieve maximum distribution on various social platforms.
• Research and script writing for editorial text-on-screen explainer edits.
• Sourcing assets to edit from various media databases.
• Editing both short and long form content (predominantly short form).
• Creating new edits from raw footage captured by Out There Media camera operators.
• Providing new ideas and creative input on how we can improve our content & offerings.
• Working across various brands and striving to replicate their core messaging and tone of voice.
• Working to meet specific deadlines & targets.
• Providing on-location support to assist with social filming and fast-turnaround editing during live events.

What previous experience do you need?

• You must have experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Either previous experience working as a video editor, have worked in video production or have a relevant media based qualification.
• An in-depth understanding of how content is packaged differently for various online platforms (particularly Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok).
• Experience editing content for a large social media channel is preferred.
• Experience shooting content & creating content for social platforms with mobile phones & basic filming equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00 per year
