Security Officer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

A opportunity has come up for a security officer to join our team. We are a small family run business and looking for someone with the same ethos and work ethic of our company. You will be working a 3 on 3 off shift pattern for 14 hours at a time.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond immediately to any security or emergency situations that occur to include (but not limited to); leaks/flood’s, doors alarms, fire alarms, attempted break-ins, as directed by our Control Room.
• Liaise with and assist the police by effectively communicating any criminal activity on behalf of the business outside of business hours.
• Produce reports to accurately document incidents / site attendances reporting to management of our control room.
• Complete patrols either at random or as instructed to maintain a level of presence and security and report on these accordingly.
• Assisting on reviewing of security services within the buildings.
• Assisting on reviewing CCTV and using the associated programmes when required
• Required to carry out all reasonable requests from your Line Manager and other Senior Managers
• This role will mean that you will have to carry out your role at a number of buildings within a certain area.

Experience/Qualifications

· Minimum of 1 year security experience

· Valid SIA licence

· Must pass a security vetting check.

· Competency of IT skills for basic programmes; Outlook / Word / Excel / Photo viewer

· Clear and complete understanding and communication of English

Flexibility required

· Required to work some overtime.

· Be prepared to work with minimum supervisor or part of a team.
