Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exiting opportunity for a Finance Assitant to join our Team in Exeter. The role is part of a small, friendly team responsible for supporting administration of various finance and related processes.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with all matters relating to the financial systems and processes ensuring correct allocation of cost and expenditure.
  • Accounts payable; processing new vendor requests using eSource, processing vendor invoices, and sending in Workflow for approval and payment, Processing of Subcontract retention, answering vendor queries, Data entry of goods receipts Notes.
  • Accounts receivable; processing new customer requests, raising customer Sales invoices and posting of customer cash receipts, Processing of Sales Retention, answering customer queries, running customer reporting, and supporting cash forecasting.
  • Data entry of financial and related data, reporting any anomalies, reconciling ledgers and complying with financial regulations.
  • Providing cover for other members of the Finance and Payroll Team as necessary
  • Providing cover for the switchboard / reception as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring all financial data within remit held on systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Provide meaningful data analysis as required.
  • To actively foster a positive staff morale.
  • To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.

The Person:​

  • Experienced in working with data and finance systems
  • Payroll Processing Experience
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, WORD etc.) and with financial systems
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, with all levels of staff

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £1.00 per year
