Carpentry Apprentice

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Carpentry apprentice to join our expanding team.

Ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic, punctual and able to take instructions. They must be able to work well with others, undertake the physical side of the role as it will involve some manual labour and be willing to work in all weather conditions. They need to have both communication and organisation skills whilst being able to work as part of a team or on their own. Experience in construction would be preferred but not essential. We are looking for individuals who can be punctual and meet strict deadlines whilst following safety procedures on a daily basis.

The role will involve the construction of new build houses, the refurbishment of existing house, involving all 1st and 2ndfix works, as well as roofing work. There may also be some other aspects of construction works that the candidate will get involved with, this will be supervised by experienced colleagues and training provided before being undertaken.

We are willing to offer an apprentership scheme that involves one day a week to attend a college with a view to achieving a Level 2 Diploma, as well as a CSCS card. On-site training will be provided by experienced staff and all PPE will be provided.

Ideal candidates will need to have their own transport and be able to reliably commute as we operate on a number of sites across Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Salary: £10.00-£15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Farnham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• CSCS (preferred)
• Driving Licence (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (preferred)
