Role Overview & Responsibilities

Thank you for your interest in the post of Development Manager at the Blackpool Centre for Early Child Development.

The Centre is the engine room of the Blackpool Better Start Partnership and is made up of passionate and dynamic staff from a range of backgrounds and disciplines who are committed to making a difference for babies, young children and their families in Blackpool. We pride ourselves on our use of the latest science and evidence, testing and learning how we can most effectively improve early child development outcomes and the experiences of our local communities. Our place based approach to early child development is grounded in collaborative and integrated working across our Partnership as well as longstanding relationships with a range of national and international academic institutions.

The Centre for Early Child Development is a unique place to work, with the opportunity to gain a variety of experiences. It's a place that is grounded in relationships and working together and has a strong commitment to positive work-life balance.

The Development Manger will work as part of the Senior Management Team as key advisors to the Director, the role will work alongside the ground breaking Community Connector programme which supports local people to access services at the right time for them. The Development Manager post will specifically work with the Director to develop and deliver new community engagement strategies and activities which will enhance and support the Blackpool Better Start Strategy.
