Role Overview & Responsibilities

About us

Norwegian Log Buildings has been manufacturing and supplying both traditional & contemporary solid log buildings used for annexes, garden rooms, holiday homes, living houses, swimming pool enclosures & classrooms for over 20 years. We work for private clients, public bodies, charities and commercial organisations. Work is varied, much of it bespoke & we cover the whole of the UK.

Site erection of solid log cabins, annexe, garden rooms, holiday homes, education buildings & other related timber structures

Frequent requirement to work away (UK only) - Monday to Friday returning home for weekends (generous work away allowance paid & accommodation provided)

Working as a member of a team to complete works on time & to the required standard

Maintaining a consistent high quality work output

Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment with a good understanding of all Health & Safety requirements

Ensuring correct use of company equipment & tools

Good communications skills - customer facing role

Heavy lifting & manual handling will be required - Physically demanding role

Flexible approach to working hours will be required on occasions (overtime paid)

Punctual, reliable & presentable (corporate wear provided)

Learning all aspects of carpentry whilst on site.

Use of different materials and tools and gradually using more through progress of apprenticeship.

To attend college on a block release basis and keep on track with work required for NVQ and Diploma

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12,480.00-£14,480.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are undertaking LFT's twice weekly. All PPE requirements are provided.

Licence/Certification:

• UK Driving Licence (preferred)
