Role Overview & Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join a fantastic team of experiences individuals in the Todmorden area, OL14.

Kitchen Assistant Annual Salary:

  • National Living Wage:
  • Aged 23+ = £10.42ph = £21,673.60pa
  • Aged 18-20 = £7.49ph = £15,579.20pa
  • Aged 21-22 = £10.18ph = £21,174.40pa

Kitchen Assistant Working Pattern:

  • 40 hours per week
  • 4 days on, 3 days off
  • Occasional Weekends off.

Kitchen Assistant Benefits:

The Kitchen Assistant Role:

To deliver a high quality catering service which meets the needs of customers, ensuring catering standards are achieved, maintained and delivered to deadlines. Training to become one of the main chefs.

  • Train for preparing, cooking and presenting; starters, main meals and desserts.
  • Gaining knowledge of individual customer dietary requirements.
  • Keeping the overall food prep areas and kitchen clean from any contaminates at all times.
  • Undertake routine checks of equipment, cleaning materials, etc. & reporting to the manager in case of risks.

Kitchen Assistant Key Tasks:

  • Preparing food
  • Assisting and support of colleagues
  • Complying with Health & Safety Policy and COSHH Regulations with regards to food equipment, materials and general safety.
  • Adhering to all procedures within the company catering operations manual.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar environment
  • An individual looking to progress into a catering career
  • Friendly and polite manner
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy environment
