Role Overview & Responsibilities

The role is within our PACKAGING ENGINEERING function which is responsible for the implementation of innovative packaging solutions for all components delivered to the production plant, ensuring that quality, cost & environmental sustainability are achieved.
We are looking for an experienced Packaging Engineer, with drive and initiative, to be part of our dynamic team. You will play a key role in the packaging design for vehicle parts throughout the full life cycle, from digital concept study through to serial production.

The successful candidate will work cross functionally with a breath of stakeholders where communication, flexibility and a proactive approach to a dynamic environment are key requirements of the role. You will interface with suppliers & manage packaging projects through to implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity to take control within one of our operational groups and create a positive impact contributing to our long-term vision of a connected, automated supply chain.

You should apply if you have:
  • Experience of working within packaging development team & leading projects
  • Knowledge of packaging design software \ tools
  • Knowledge of packaging testing procedures and regulations
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software
  • An analytical skillset with the ability to comprehend and execute data driven decisions
  • Strong communication skills to orchestrate cross-functional meetings, arranging like-minded team members to achieve our objectives
  • Adaptability and resilience to operate in a dynamic rewarding environment
  • An inquisitive nature, working under your own initiative to drive down packaging costs
  • Confidence to influence stakeholders on multiple levels, both internally and externally to make positive change
  • Flexibility to travel within Europe/Internationally as required to support packaging needs
It would be great if you had:
  • Experience in Supply Chain, or related technical function.
  • Mentoring or people management experience
