Role Overview & Responsibilities

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

The Argyll &Bute Health and Social Care Partnership has an exciting opportunity for an experienced data intelligence specialist to join the Public Health Team.

The post is responsible for a very wide range of tasks in relation to health and social care data.

These may include conducting health needs assessments, compiling performance and trend reports, analysing data, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, and providing training and building capacity in colleagues.

Consideration will be given to a professional from settings out with health and social care as long as transferrable skills can be demonstrated.

The post holder will be given the autonomy to direct their own work but will have support from local colleagues in Argyll & Bute as well as the wider NHS department based in Inverness.

The base for this post is negotiable giving the opportunity to locate anywhere in Argyll and Bute.

Staff continue to work on a hybrid basis, mostly at home but with some requirements to attend face to face meetings.
