Role Overview & Responsibilities

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

Peterhead Health Centre

Peterhead Health Centre is a large, high-earning training practice in the beautiful North East of Scotland. We are looking to recruit a Practice Business Manager who will work closely with the Partners to lead our team in providing the highest level of care to our patients.

You will need a sound knowledge of business, finance and people management including HR and have excellent leadership and communication skills at all levels.

As a multi-talented, hardworking, proactive team, we aim to stay ahead of the ever-changing curve in General Practice as well as being optimally reactive to unexpected changes.

You will be central to managing these challenges. You do not need to have experience of the NHS or General Practice as your skills to lead our dynamic team in providing excellent care, with your drive and willingness to ensure the continued success and development of our business are of the upmost importance.

In return we will offer a very competitive salary commensurate with expertise and experience, with 6 weeks holiday (pro rata) per year plus public and bank holidays. This position is also subject to inclusion in the NHS pension scheme. Full PVG clearance will be required. You will be supported by an excellent administrative and clinical team.

Hours are negotiable although full-time preferred.

Successful candidates will be invited for interview with the Partners.

For a copy of the full job description and to apply, please send your CV with a covering letter detailing the skills and experience you would bring to the role to susan.rhind@nhs.scot.

We are delighted to receive informal enquiries: please contact Susan Rhind, Practice Manager, at the above email address.
