Company description

Newling Fruitgrowers Ltd, grow and pack English Apples and Pears. We have a well respected Packhouse, with a friendly, multi lingual team. Packing Apples and Pears for Supermarkets and Wholesale. Smeta, BRC, RTA and Tesco audited. We are looking for a person to fit within our small and enthusiastic QC team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Working with Quality Department, management and production personnel
• Checking products produced to customer specifications, label checks
• Accurately completing paperwork and recording information
• Performing inspections on random samples, identifying any defects, and investigating corrective and preventative actions
• Checking that product is being packed into correct packaging and that product information (bag labels, tray ends etc.) is correct
• Checking incoming fruit and releasing finished product, ready for dispatch
• Be prepared to assist in other duties relating to the packhouse as might reasonably be required

PERSONAL PROFILE:

• Alert, enthusiastic and energetic
• Own transport
• Able to work Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and every 4th weekend
• Good eye for detail
• Confident and able to interact effectively with others
• Able to deal with pressure and changing priorities, have a flexible attitude to carry out tasks
• Good English speaking, reading and writing skills - Polish speaking skills also an advantage
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word

Previous experience essential. Own transport to Packhouse in Gorefield essential
