Food Preparation Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a part-time Preparation (Kitchen) Assistant to Assist in our kitchen at Mrs Potts Chocolate House in Cardiff.

Responsibilities

• Decorating cakes
• Baking cookies & brownies
• Making cookie sandwiches
• Clean & organise prep area
• Adhere to food hygiene & safety standards
• Ordering and stock rotation
• Re-stocking food items throughout the shift
• Reporting to Bath Store Manager

Job Details

• Part-time positions available (3-4 consecutive days per week across Monday-Sunday
• Shifts primarily 7am-11am with occasional shifts in afternoon / evening supporting Pudding club.
• Zero hours contracts
• Pay is dependant on age

Requirements

• No experience required, just an interest in/slight knowledge of baking
• Must be keen to learn and hard working
• The ideal candidate will be timely, reliable, with a positive attitude to work
• Must be motivated, cheery and happy to use own initiative
• Must be friendly and interact well with co-workers
• Must be able to work quickly and cope under pressure
• Previous hospitality is desirable but not essential

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week

Salary: £5.50-£10.50 per hour
