Role Overview & Responsibilities
We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in Wholesale Operations.
Our Operations Manager’s play a key role in helping our business to grow and succeed. It’s their job to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with our Wholesale Partners, representing the Morrisons Brand and industry leading standards across our Morrisons Daily stores.
Working closely with the Account Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for continuous operational improvements within the specific accounts you manage. You will strive to identify opportunities to drive sales, improve store KPIs and in still best practise around Morrisons compliance procedures.
As the Operations Manager it is your job to:
- Work closely with Regional and Area teams to spot opportunities to improve ranging, layouts and store environment, delivering sales uplifts
- An expert in safe and legal, ensuring Partner stores are compliant with food safety laws and have the knowledge to represent the brand safely and with integrity
- Support Area and Store Managers with forward-thinking action plans for their stores
- Create effective communication channels with a variety of stakeholders across field teams, central teams and store teams
- Contribute to the development of the annual Wholesale Operations plan, identifying ways to simplify ways of working and save wasted effort
- Use freedom within the framework to develop local ideas to exceed sales targets and drive performance whilst motivating colleagues
- Build relationships with all key stakeholders in order to involve the right people to deliver continuous improvements that benefit the customers
- Lead by example to deliver exceptional standards in our Partner stores, working with Regional and area teams to unskilled and coach
- Project manage ad Hoc Partner projects alongside the Account Manager to deliver improvements to store performance and customer experience
- Make time to understand from Partners directly how we can improve our daily offer and build their feedback into improvement plans and work with central teams to provide insight and opportunity to continually improve the service we offer
