Role Overview & Responsibilities

At Kingsley Care Home we take pride not only in the care we deliver to our residents but also their environment. Kingsley Care Home has an internal garden and surrounding outdoor garden areas which are enjoyed by the residents who live there. We are currently looking for a part-time gardener to maintain our gardens, creating an enjoyable and safe environment for our residents.

Responsibilities included:

- Maintaining all grassed areas; mowing, trimming, repairs and weeding.
- Ensuring all trees and shrubs are maintained.
- Maintaining all plants.
- Providing general maintenance around the garden including car park and paved areas are
swept and free of litter.
- Maintaining outdoor storage are kept tidy.
- Maintaining all garden equipment and tools.
- Assisting the Maintenance Technician with decorating duties and basic maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills:

- 1-2 years experience in garden maintenance.
- Experience in painting/decorating.
- A passion for gardening.
- Team player.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of horticultural requirements.
- Able to adapt quickly to new ways of working and apply their technical knowledge to a range of variable tasks.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
