Farm livestock assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Miller's Ark are looking for an experienced and pro active person, with a positive attitude and good people skills, to work on our busy mixed livestock farm. You will have responsibility for cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, our Shire horse and numerous poultry.

We are a small friendly team where every member counts and is valued for their hard work, sense of humour and 'can do' approach.

• You need to be quick, organised and fit.
• Strong and kind when handling stock and good with people.
• Responsibilities include a high standard of sheep flock maintenance and a consistent approach to the health and well being of all the animals.
• You will have good time management skills.
• Lambing experience is preferred.
• You will have a full clean driving licence and be able to competently tow a 12' livestock trailer (or be prepared to learn)
• Keeping records and legal paperwork/on line reporting is a must.
• Tractor driving skills are welcome.
• Integrity, good communication skills, a positive attitude and a sense of humour are all vital!
