Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team to provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to Ward Managers, Medical and Nursing staff including any other mutually agreed duties to maintain the smooth running of the ward.

Frederick Banting Ward is a 30 bedded mixed gender ward which specialises in acute vascular care and on the ward, staff are active listeners and enjoy speaking with our patients to find out all about them, including their likes and dislikes. This enables us to tailor and deliver patient centred holistic care.

You will provide a reception service to patients, relatives, carers and all staff groups. Answer the telephone correctly by adhering to the Trusts telephone protocol. Understanding and delivering messages received to the appropriate persons and deal with telephone or face-to-face enquiries within agreed limits and take appropriate actions. You will also maintain good communication and relationships with patients/carers and colleagues in consultation with Ward Manager.
