Job Description

Policy Principal Advisor

12 month fixed term contract

London

Role:

  • This role will focus on leading and contributing to work to prepare for the new regime
  • Developing the policy, guidance and legislative framework for the new pro-competition regime
  • Working closely with government, providing expertise and advice based on the Regulator's knowledge and experience
  • Contributing to work to ensure the Regulator's operational readiness to take on the new pro-competition regime.
  • Working to establish the Regulator as a centre of excellence in digital markets, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and building knowledge and expertise

The Successful Applicant

Policy Principal Advisor

London

Essential:

  • Experience working in digital markets, management and delivery, research, policy, government, regulation or law.
  • Strong working background in policy development and regulation
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver results, working within challenging timescales and taking responsibility for quality outcomes.
  • Experience building relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including those from other professional backgrounds.
  • Demonstrable experience of taking decisions drawing on analysis of a wide range of information with an awareness of the wider strategic context.
  • Ability to draft documents and to communicate clearly to a range of audiences and secure buy-in to ideas.
