Role Overview & Responsibilities

Mayfield House is a residential care home providing care to older adults living with dementia. Home has 30 bedrooms.

Mayfield House is situated next to Walton-on Thames train station and has excellent public transport links. There is a free parking for staff.

Mayfield House has been acquired by A Welcome House Ltd in July 2022. We are looking to employ full-time experienced Health Care Assistants.

We would like to employ a hard working and friendly individual with experience in caring for older people. You will be working in a team of carers lead by a Senior carer on duty. Your role will include helping people with their personal care ( including showers and baths), supporting people to eat and drink, activities, reporting and recording daily notes on our electronic care planning system.

An ideal candidate should have Care certificate and level 2 diploma in care but a passionate candidate without a diploma willing to progress and develop further will also be considered.

Salary: From £10.45 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Walton-on-Thames: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Care home: 1 year (preferred)
• Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
