Mansfield District Council is looking to employ a Housing Needs and Safeguarding Manager to lead the Housing Needs service within the wider Housing Department.

You will have a key role in a forward thinking and customer focussed service with a strong reputation for driving real change to resident’s lives through proactive and preventative means. The service includes the NICE award-winning ASSIST hospital discharge project; the Mansfield First Steps model which delivers against Housing First-type principles; a new Healthy Housing Hub supporting those with complex needs and a Supported Housing Improvement (SHIP) team.

You will lead the implementation of the council’s Homeless Strategy, provision of temporary accommodation, homeless and roughsleeping, resettlement and the Homefinder choice based lettings service.
