Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title: Caribbean Chef

Location: Dunstable

We are seeking a talented and experienced Caribbean Chef to join our team at our exciting new Caribbean restaurant. As a Caribbean Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and flavorful Caribbean dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design menus that showcase the diverse flavours of the Caribbean
• Prepare and cook a range of Caribbean dishes, including jerk chicken, curries, seafood, and vegetarian options
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
• Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are cooked correctly
• Monitor food costs and manage inventory levels
• Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that customers receive a seamless dining experienceFollow all safety and health regulations

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Caribbean Chef
• Excellent knowledge of Caribbean cuisine and cooking techniques
• Ability to create and develop innovative and authentic Caribbean menus
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

• Dunstable: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
