Role Overview & Responsibilities

The opportunity

Project: We are seeking talented individuals that want to join us as assistant project managers that can work with us in our Highways Division. While you will assist in the delivery of infrastructure projects, joining Mace is to join a company that believes in your individuality, your potential, and we will support you in developing opportunities and building your career.

We are looking for people to join our teams in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, and Bristol but all geographies will be considered.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the successful delivery of the project or programme, achieving high client satisfaction scores.

  • Working as part of an integrated project team that brings together people with One Vision across a number of companies and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring a safe and collaborative working environment where people thrive.

  • Assisting on the leading multidisciplinary teams in matrix organisations to meet client outcomes.

  • Managing and outperforming against the contract.

  • Contributing to the review of project performance and production of reporting to drive continuous improvement.

  • Assigning and following-up project actions e.g. reporting project progress, monitoring costs and progress, acceptance of project specific procedures.

  • Maintaining records, traceable files and arrange archiving on closure of the project as appropriate.

  • Role modelling and championing social value initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance against our quality management system to ensure we are meeting client outcomes and standards.

About you

We are actively seeking diverse people that have transferable skills and that perhaps wouldn’t have considered Highways in the past to support us in driving change and diverse thinking in the industry.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
