Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are on the lookout for an experienced UG Installer

Or a ready made cabling team.

Also accepting trainees.

The Cabling/Test Rod & Rope engineers main responsibility will be to test rod and rope, installation of cables, sub duct both underground and overhead.

• Test Rod & Roping
• Proving the PIA network
• Pull in sub duct & cable in PIA UG networks
• locating blockages & updating required systems with box to box
• Producing A55s Requirements:
• Experience of Test Rod & Roping / cabling the Openreach network
• PIA network experience
• Installation of cables, sub duct UG
• Installation of fibre nodes UG
• Locate blockages and establish clear routes
• Produce A55’s in consultation with the main Surveyor
• Completion and submission of all necessary documentation
• Compliance with all Health, Safety, Quality Control & Environmental policies
• Civils avoidance experience
• PIA accreditation desirable although upskilling will be provided for suitable candidates

Experience & Skills required:

• Full Driving License that permits you to drive a vehicle in the UK
• Hold a valid NRSWA street works operative unit 2 card
• Confident at works in an ungerground network

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £150.00-£200.00 per day
