Grounds and garden maintenance operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasonal grounds and garden maintenance operative who is a well-mannered, hardworking, team player, to join our growing, friendly company. Relevant experience is preferred but we will also consider recruiting an exceptional candidate as a trainee with full training given. As a gardener you will be responsible for the soft landscaping and maintenance of both commercial and residential properties.

Main responsibilities

Trimming and maintaining hedges/shrubs.

Lawn cutting and edging.

Correct pruning of shrubs and plants.

Weeding of plant borders.

Planting new plants as and when required.

Leaf clearance

Litter collection.

Fencing.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 9 months

Salary: £11.50-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Penarth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Gardening: 1 year (required)

Work Location: One location
