Day Security Officers (multiple posts)


Salary from £24,724 to £27,848pa inclusive with potential to progress to £29,420pa inclusive of London allowance


As a Day Security Officer you will work in a stimulating environment dealing with a wide variety of issues; welcoming visitors, protecting life and property, and helping academics, staff and students. You will be part of a small team, responsible for reception, and the safety and security at a world-famous UK university which regularly attracts high status speakers.


Applications are invited for the posts of Day Security Officer working day, alternating and rotating shifts, including weekend working.


This job demands an ability to deal sensitively, effectively and efficiently with people, and your ability to resolve basic day to day problems.


Applicants must pass a physical assessment on employment, and on an annual basis, that ensures that they can safely conduct physical restraint and other safety related duties.


Applicants must possess good literacy and communication skills and be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. You must be able to communicate clearly in the English Language.


Previous experience in a security position is essential.
