Barista/Café Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to work full time hours over 5-6 days a week. Hours can be flexible week by week, but must include either a Saturday or Sunday. Ideally be able to work long term!

Love Brownies is a rapidly expanding chocolate brownie business based in Yorkshire with cafés and shops opening across the UK. We have an exciting new opportunity for a friendly and hardworking Café Assistant to join the existing team.

As a Café Assistant, the ideal candidate will have lots of energy, positivity and have excellent customer service skills.

Main purpose of the role:

Love Brownies is about creating a memorable experience. You will be part of a team to cover the cafe seven days a week, to provide beverages, breakfasts and lunches, and of course, make sure that our customers leave with a smile on their face! Full training will be provided.

General responsibilities but not limited to:-

• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, and speciality beverages for customers.
• Preparing and serving our food menu to customers.
• Adherence to food safety procedures at all times.
• Receiving and distributing stock supplies.
• Receiving and processing customer payments.
• Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently as they arise.

Experience & skills

• Ideally have previous barista experience and know how to make espresso drinks.
• Be well organised and motivated and must have a real passion for customer service.
• Must work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task.

• Good face to face communication skills – be positive and approachable.
• Team player qualities.
