Role Overview & Responsibilities

School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences

Full-time (37-hours per week); Fixed-term to 14 July 2024

This 3-year research project will model skeletal muscle biology within bioengineered tissues, inducing exercise via mechanical and electrical loading. The project will investigate how different exercise regimes alter the release of exercise-induced secretome (including extracellular vesicles), and how this secretome can induce cellular changes within peripheral tissue types (eg. bone).


Applicants should have at least a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in sport and exercise science, human physiology, biochemistry or a related subject, and have successfully completed a PhD in cell biology, tissue engineering or a related subject area.


This full-time post is offered on a fixed-term contract to 14 July 2024.
