Entry-Level Penetration Tester | Hybrid, Berkshire | £25,000 - £30,000

We are seeking a highly motivated and eager individual to join a growing security team as an Entry-Level Penetration Tester. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with a passion for information security to learn and grow in the field of penetration testing.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior penetration testers in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on various systems and applications.

  • Document findings and provide recommendations for remediation.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, IT, and business units, to ensure penetration testing efforts are coordinated and effective.

  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in penetration testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and web applications.

  • Basic understanding of security frameworks, such as OWASP, NIST, and SANS.

  • Familiarity with penetration testing tools, such as Metasploit, Nmap, and Burp Suite, is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
