Production Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Lloyd & Jones are a looking for an experienced production worker for their abrasive manufacturing site in Chorley.

The site produces Abrasive Belts of various sizes under the SAL Abrasive brand. The belts are manufactured by cutting strips of the appropriate length and width from large rolls. The ends of the strips are then joined to produce a continuous belt.

The production process involves the handling of abrasive material, the use of cutting and trimming machinery as well as the packing and labelling of product.

Full on the job training will be provided so no specific experience is necessary although experience of working in a production environment would be useful.

What is on offer:

Full time, permanent Post (subject to probationary period)

Monday to Thursday 7:30 – 4:30 pm

Friday 7:30 am to 1:30 pm

Onsite parking, kitchen facilities

Salary £10.42per hour – 40 Hours per week

Holidays: 20 days per year plus statuary Bank Holidays, rising to 25 days after 10 years
