CAD Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

LCA Group are a growing business which has a focus on “Talent & Technology” and are looking for multiple Design Engineers to join our growing engineering team.

As our CAD Technician, you will be required to create design plans using the CAD/CAE system which involves production of electronic versions of technical drawings and associated documentation.

Profile:

• Competency using different software packages (Word, Excel, etc)
• Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to schedules
• Ability to work alone, with minimum supervision. But as part of a team if needed
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, with Nuclear experience advantageous
• Experience with producing and updating AutoCAD and ePlan
• Good understanding of engineering data in a variety of formats from engineering drawings to design reports
• AutoCAD City & Guilds Level 2, electric biased
• Ability to read electrical drawings and understand technical terms

Desirable Qualifications:

• ePlan P8
• ePlan PRo Panel

Duties (not limited to):

• Working with both 2D and 3D design software such as ePlan AutoCAD and Fusion 360
• Produce designs to be used to help prepare estimates for how much projects are likely to cost
• Collaborating with the Design team on project designs
• Changing / reviewing detailed diagrams
• ePlan library updates and content control
• Assisting the Team with Automation outputs from ePlan
• 3D part creation with STEP file production.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
